It was a good novella, a between story to bridge the first and second book. Because it was so short compared to the other installments, I didn't really expect anything more than what the synopsis promised. It seemed pretty good with the main idea and the treat you get of going with Elena and her friends to their homes during the summer. I liked seeing her homeland like a tourist.Product details

Why this couldn't be apart of book two makes no sense. Seriously irritated and feel ripped off. It was too short to even be called an a novella and should be free because it was a novellette.
It explained the story line a bit more and of course the characters are awesome! I have the entire series and am so glad I did. Tragically beautiful and exciting series. You must read.
Not really a stand alone piece. After having read the full series, this was totally unfulfilling. I highly recommend the entire series.
I give this a 3 because I had to go find this piece hoping it would include some missing information...while it has cleared some of the missing info there is still a chunk of information I feel is missing???? I've read the first 2 books & have started on book 3, but cannot recall any mention of Stanley & the council before book three???
This is an amazing series and I have been telling everyone I can to check it out. I was a little hesitant to start Firebolt as I have never read any dragon novels. And I honestly do not think I will ever find another dragon series that would come close to Adrienne Woods' Dragonian series. It is just that spectacular. The characters, the mystery, the angst, the action, and the world building all come together to create a story line that I cannot get enough of!
Love the story line! Wonderful fantasy! Easy to read and focus on the characters. Excellent! Well rounded characters. I was engrossed in the story line and will immediately begin the next book.
I am usually pretty excited when it comes to novelettes, but after reading this one, I just feel like it was slow paced and unnecessary. We didn't learn much that would help us with the rest of the series, and it really had nothing to do with the dragon theme. I think we could have done without this one and hope that this is not foreshadowing the rest of the series.
